The 2011 Town & Country Garden Tour was a big success!
The 2011 Tour featured 9 beautiful, unique, private gardens in and around Cottage Grove, Oregon.
This year’s tour showcased 2 permaculture gardens, an in-town mini-farm, a cluster of gardens in a historic neighborhood, a walled, European-style garden and a 3-acre special encore garden set amid 400 year old towering Douglas fir trees.
Over 400 people participated in the 2011 tour!
We welcomed visitors from throughout western Oregon, including Portland, Beaverton, Corvallis, Eugene/Springfield, Brownsville, Yoncalla, Roseburg and beyond.
Sixty people attended the Evening in Bloom, a Prelude to the Town & Country Garden Tour, so generously hosted by Steve and Vera Kilston on the grounds of their extraordinary estate.
South Lane Mental Health thanks all who participated in the 2011 Tour, including our wonderful sponsors, Territorial Seed Company and the Cottage Grove Community Hospital and Clinics, supporters Dirtcheap Copies, the Cottage Grove Sentinel, McKenzie Mist and the Bookmine, along with our numerous advertisers, artists, food vendors, musicians and volunteers.
And of course thank you to all the gardeners whose hard work and passion made the tour a showcase for gardening in Cottage Grove. Thank you for opening your gardens in support of South Lane Mental Health.
